Position Title Position Control Number Position Control Number FW0564 Type of Position Position Status Position Status Part-time Department Department 43041-Instructional Technology-CMS Campus Campus Western University Campus-Pomona, CA Position Location Job Summary Provides basic audio visual support by ensuring proper housekeeping, inventory and maintenance of classroom podiums and multimedia systems. Provides presenter assistance when needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. The ability to effectively, professionally and tactfully interact and communicate with administrators, faculty, staff, and guests of the University.
2. Possess a general knowledge of audio visual terminology and equipment. Understand basic computer technology and apply troubleshooting techniques.
3. Proficiency at using Microsoft Office, the Internet and email and the ability to learn other technology necessary for the position.
4. Good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Required Qualifications Student enrolled in any program within Western University of Health Sciences in good academic standing. Preferred Qualifications Experience with servicing audio visual equipment. Key Responsibilities Ensure proper removal of used batteries for recycling. Make sure rechargeable batteries are returned to charger and end of day. Ensure wireless mouse is operational and stored on charger each day. Key Responsibilities Ensure room’s audio visual system is operational within specified guidelines and document any discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Document classroom equipment locations and status. Key Responsibilities Ensure that AV systems are properly shut down in the evenings. Key Responsibilities Remove any waste from podiums including water bottles, food and drinks. Key Responsibilities Provide basic AV assistance to guest presenters including assistance with loading presentation or video conferencing/streaming software, using the document camera or connecting a laptop to the podium. Posting Details Continued Work Schedule Flexible hours before and after classes, early morning, evening work or weekend work. Most work will be performed while classes are empty. Supervisor will work with student to set schedule that works with class schedule.
