SUMMARY: This position is accountable for performing a variety of sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders, as directed by a physician. The incumbent functions as a member of the patient care team scoring, recording and documenting data associated with the monitoring of physiologic data associated with patients during sleep.

Experience
Minimum two (2) years experience in a health care environment required
Knowledge of scoring sleep studies and providing diagnostic reports for physician review required
Ability to score studies preferred
Bilingual skills preferred
Education / Licenses / Certifications
High school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
BLS – Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
RPT – California Registered Polysomnographer Technologist required
RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technician required within 24 months of hire or transfer into position
