Summary Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) uses video borescopes, push cameras, robotics, vessel cameras, and drones to perform a visual examination on customer assets, avoiding disassembly, confined space entry, or scaffold building. When foreign material is detected, retrieval tools extract objects. Indications, features, and all details of interest are documented through high‑resolution images and video, compiled in a comprehensive report. RVI work spans industries such as Nuclear Power Plants, Gas Turbine Plants, Coal Plants, Chemical Plants, Refineries, and Paper Mills. Specialists may be required to inspect turbines, reactor heads, tanks, pipes, or vessels.
Experienced RVI Technicians can be located throughout the United States. RVI Trainee positions are primarily located out of the Greenville, SC and/or Charlotte, NC facilities.
Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites in the U.S. to perform RVI exams on a wide range of applications.
Set up RVI equipment and certify for inspection use.
Interpret drawings considering access, distance, hazards, and technology limitations to successfully complete RVI work.
Provide on‑the‑job training and guidance to trainees.
Pre‑organize inspections and prepare written reports on the results of RVI exams.
Work independently or in small teams as required.
Qualifications
Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High‑school Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must pass a drug screen.

Work Conditions
Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man‑baskets, etc.
Work in confined spaces, requiring crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
Work in or around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film‑developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day, 7 days/week, and travel for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Desired Education / Experience / Skills
Prior military experience.
Engineering degree.
Industrial and mechanical expertise.
Prior government or commercial nuclear radiation worker experience.
A&P license.
Prior work history in industrial environments.
