Why work at MCC:

Hours: 6PM-6AM on a 2-2-3 rotation

Compensation: Up to $37/HR *based on Litho Press experience. $5,000 sign-on bonus, $5,000 relocation bonus upon start if you need to move to the area for this role.

Responsibilities:

The printing press operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Komori 6 Color sheetfed presses.

Complete makeready by adjusting press components, such as feeders, delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools.

Remove and replace worn rollers and adjust pressure between rollers of the press, using hand tools.

Wash blankets, clean ink and ink-distributing rollers, and ink fountains using ink solvent and the cleaning mechanism on the press.

Make necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments before production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.

Have comprehensive knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials.

Be able to read and follow job specifications to determine press set‑up materials needed to run the job successfully.

Follow instructions to operate equipment safely and produce the desired product.

Make adjustments to feeder and feed board (e.g., ability to adjust suctions and blast front and side guides and the timing of the head stops).

Perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.

Instruct and provide guidance to junior-level press assistants.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work in a team environment; ability to make and read measurements.

Communicate in English – read, understand, and carry out written instructions.

Understand verbal instructions.

Physical demands include standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.

Requires frequent walking.

Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Continuous eye concentration.

Work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Minimum 2 years of previous experience setting up and running sheet-fed presses.

Previous experience in the operation of sheet-fed press equipment.
