The Role + Purpose

Sketching/AI CADs/Design Support with supervision – color CAD updates

PLM data entry – ID and color code creation, carryforwards, tech pack uploads

Digital working boards – organize and maintain, set up templates, create line sheets, including colorways/styles

Create & complete tech packs with supervision / sample corrections with guidance

Organization-managing samples, keeping submits/materials organized, purging samples, upkeep of sample library

Abides by calendar, processes, and deadlines with guidance from manager

Qualifications

0–3 years design experience

Apparel, Industrial design, or Footwear/Accessory Design degree

Creativity and strong illustration skills

Trend/fashion awareness

Technical sketching ability (flat and illustration)

Working knowledge of footwear, bags, and belts construction and materials

Footwear/handbag measurement and specification experience

Excellent color sense and knowledge of lab dips

Demonstrated ability to do creative, focused visual presentations

Strong written and communication skills

Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel; Pro Create/hand sketching a plus

PLM and MIRO experience a plus

Fittings – responsible attending, minor sketch updates post fitting, photo, and note taking

Trend research, shopping, presenting ideas

Presentations – prior set up of samples, boards, and materials

Legal – attend legal meetings and maintain legal deck

Approval comments – prepare for samples to review with manager

Sample management – keeping track and organizing samples

Salary Range: $57,500.00 – $69,000.00

The base salary will be based on internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
