What You’ll Do As the Content Editorial Manager, you will be the driving force behind our blog’s editorial strategy, taking full ownership of the blog channel. You will manage a high‑volume content pipeline and act as both a proactive strategist and an editorial manager.

Key Responsibilities

Own the editorial strategy: develop and execute end‑to‑end editorial strategy and calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, marketing campaigns, and SEO best practices.

Identify key content themes and market trends in IAM, cybersecurity, and AI/Developer spaces.

Define the blog publication process and document all steps for efficient execution.

Actively research competitor content and evergreen topics to inform content creation.

Manage the publication of blogs, adhere to strict timelines and SLAs, and oversee the entire content lifecycle from ideation to publication.

Ensure tagging, metadata, and taxonomy within the CMS for discoverability.

Oversee the review and publication of finalized content and collaborate with localization teams for international exposure.

Partner with SEO, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to increase brand visibility and Okta brand presence.

Establish and enforce a consistent Okta brand voice and editorial style.

Incorporate SEO into content planning, editing, and conversions.

Write, edit, and proofread articles, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.

Explore and leverage AI tools to optimize content for search, LLM friendliness, and internal workflows.

Own blog‑specific reporting metrics (traffic, time on page, conversion, SEO rankings, LLM citations) and drive continuous optimization.

Manage a network of internal subject matter experts, external writers, and agencies, providing briefs and feedback.

What You’ll Bring Required Experience

5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial management, or journalism.

Passionate content lead capable of owning the blog channel with end‑to‑end strategy and operations.

Experience leveraging generative AI tools for content optimization.

Prior B2B experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology organization.

Proactive and reactive in content planning and execution.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, distilling complex technical topics (Identity, Zero Trust, APIs, AI, Security) into clear narratives.

Strong understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools (Google Search Console, Tableau, Looker Studio, SEMRush, STAT).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing a blog or website with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar enterprise‑level CMS.

Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or cybersecurity domain.

Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range for California (excluding SF Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington: $128,000 – $192,000 USD.

Annual base salary range for Canada: $114,000 – $172,000 CAD.
