Marketing and Business Development Manager
Position Summary
The Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting the firm’s needs with respect to marketing, attorney and firm business development initiatives, which includes a business-focused social media presence, and maintenance and enhancement of MH’s website.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Legal marketing or other professional services experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of and ability to use MH’s website software.
Sound judgment with respect to confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally.
Outstanding problem‑solving skills and drive to provide superior client service.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while managing time efficiently and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated problem solving, organizational and project management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to, the following)
Marketing and Business Development
Assist attorneys with the development of presentations, including proofreading and formatting.
Assist attorneys with gathering information and completing requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) from clients.
Respond to Diversity & Inclusion questionnaires and RFIs from clients or trade organizations.
Collect and coordinate data for practice group submissions to third‑party groups, such as Chambers or Texas Lawyer Super Lawyers and Rising Stars, and other rankings/awards submissions.
Assist with editing and production of attorney articles, newsletters, and other communications.
Oversee compliance with Mansfield requirements.
Assist with capturing, tracking, and updating representative firm experience.
Assist with development of content and marketing collateral.
Fulfill collateral requests for sponsorships and attorney speaking engagements.
Assist with execution of any in‑office marketing or business development events.
Conduct research on clients, prospects, industries, conferences, speaking opportunities, and membership organizations to inform business development strategies.
Maintain marketing repository of relevant business development information.
Maintain Attorney Bar Chart.
Attorney marketing and business development onboarding.
Oversee marketing vendor relationships.
Support attorneys with additional licensing needs.
Assist, as needed, with multimedia and technical support on case/docket needs.
Online Development and Social Media Presence
Manage and update content on firm's website, including biographies, news, and practice descriptions.
Create social media posts for selective firm news.
Assist with online events, including logistical support.
Manage and maintain Firm’s LinkedIn company page.
Other
Marketing and business development projects as needed.
Attorney support in marketing or business development capacity.
Other firm projects as deemed fit for your position.
