JOB DESCRIPTION The Marketing & Brand Manager is responsible for much of the firm’s marketing and communications efforts, primarily focused on the firm’s legal practices. This includes brand/collateral design and management, thought leadership and content strategy, web + social media management, graphic design, events management, and other branding/marketing. This role has one direct report and will support all offices in Dallas, Houston and Waco.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

8+ years of experience in a marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations position is required.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Legal industry or a comparable services business preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience leading marketing + brand strategy to build demand, client growth and retention.

Results with developing brand recognition for the firm, practices, and attorneys.

Expert experience with marketing campaigns, SEO and paid search tactics and related analytics.

Experience with MarTech applications – CRM, Vuture, eMarketing, etc.

Excellent writing skills are required; knowledge of AP Style is required.

Skills in Canva, Figma, Adobe InDesign or equivalent tools is required.

Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator a plus.

Knowledge of events management programs and related operational logistics.

Knowledge of AI search a plus.

PR/Ad agency experience a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy + Marketing Execution – Apply the firm’s overarching strategy for marketing and reputation management and curate with tactics focused on the Legal practices to amplify practice and attorney objectives and key differentiators.

Branding/Collateral – Manage and maintain the firm’s marketing resources, collateral and templates. Provide guidance on brand guidelines across all channels.

Thought Leadership + Content Strategy – Work with attorneys to identify and produce thought leadership topics (speeches / articles) and secure speaking or publishing opportunities with targeted organizations and publications.

MarTech Applications – Monitor marketing technology ecosystem in collaboration with MarTech Operations Manager and IT, including CRM, email marketing, to ensure reliable execution of marketing and business development activities.

Website Management – Manage the firm’s website, which includes maintaining and writing copy for attorney bios, practice group/industry profiles and other pages within the websites. Manage the firm’s blogs, which include drafting and editing blog posts, publishing blog posts and executing any related e-newsletters. Maintain analytic reports and communicate site and blog performance to attorneys. Work with video production team to coordinate and produce videos for the website. Analyzes and generates recommendations based upon online traffic / interactions.

Social Media + Digital Content – Directs the firm’s social media programming for the legal practices, particularly Facebook and LinkedIn, in addition to managing Clearview Social. Analyzes and generates recommendations based upon online traffic / interactions.

Graphic Design – Responsible for designing collateral, legal alerts, presentation templates, event invites/signage, advertisements, social media images, annual reports, etc. Includes assisting with design elements of proposals and RFPs, brand theme for retreats, summer associate program, and the firm’s holiday e-card, etc.

Events Management – ensure the firm’s event management workstream stays aligned with the client engagement strategy for the Legal practices.

Employee Management – This position is the direct supervisor of a Marketing Coordinator and is responsible for their project management, growth and development.

Support Client Development Department Initiatives – As needed, assist or manage various client development initiatives as assigned.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

This position has one direct report.

EDUCATION

College degree preferred, ideally in marketing, communications, journalism or public relations.
