Job Description

The Dining and Operations Manager at Berklee College of Music will be responsible for the entire food and beverage operation in the absence of the Director of Dining Services. The manager will direct all activities and operational areas to ensure the effective functioning of the food and beverage department.

Compensation

The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. This amount represents Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Director of Dining Services.
  • Responsible for the entire food and beverage operation, including quality control, staffing, event preparation, kitchen operations, dining room operations, and management development.
  • Leads, trains, develops, communicates, and motivates team members to meet performance standards.
  • Spends at least 60% of time on the floor supervising, coaching, and training staff.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading associates at a supervisory level in a mid‑scale to upscale restaurant, banquet venue, or hotel.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Preferred experience as a server in a mid‑to‑upscale restaurant.
  • Aptitude for supporting the development of team members.
  • Experience with financial and quality service responsibilities.
  • Attitude that is guest service and associate service centric.

Physical Demands

This role may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment may be required.
