The Graphic Designer is a senior in-house creative responsible for managing a high volume of design and production requests across the school. This role oversees the full lifecycle of creative projects from intake and translation of briefs, through design development and stakeholder alignment, to production, delivery, and post project evaluation. As a key custodian of the school brand, the Graphic Designer ensures design consistency across internal communications, events, and external marketing. They work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels including leadership, teaching staff, students, and external vendors while maintaining efficient systems to manage competing priorities. This position also contributes to the development of colleagues and student groups through training, guidance, and mentoring in design best practice. Creative & Brand Leadership

Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent application of school identity across all communications and touchpoints. Translate organisational goals and stakeholder briefs into effective, creative design solutions. Develop templates, guidelines, and systems to streamline design processes and enhance brand visibility. Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues and student contributors in design practices. Project & Stakeholder Management

Manage end-to-end project workflows, including intake, design, reviews, approvals, and production. Engage with diverse stakeholder groups from senior leadership to students ensuring expectations, feedback, and outcomes are aligned. Prioritise and balance a high volume of requests, implementing systems to track progress and deadlines. Proactively communicate timelines, requirements, and deliverables to keep projects on track. Production & Vendor Coordination

Oversee production schedules, budgets, and quality control for print and digital outputs. Liaise with external vendors, including printers, photographers, and agencies, to deliver cost‑effective and high‑quality outcomes. Ensure smooth logistics for collateral delivery and event support. Operational Excellence

Maintain photo and asset libraries, ensuring accessibility and effective usage across the school. Support departmental budget planning and ensure efficient use of design and production resources. Continuously improve design workflows, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and impact. Safeguarding & Child Protection

The job holder is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children and young persons they work with or come into contact with. They must: Adhere to and ensure compliance with Company’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and Procedures at all times. Immediately report any concerns that a child may be suffering, or is at risk of suffering, significant harm whether at school or at home. Report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), the Head of School, or the Regional CEO, ensuring that appropriate referrals are made to relevant third‑party services as required. Position Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ professional design experience, ideally within a high‑volume, multi‑stakeholder environment. Degree or Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from brief to production, within tight deadlines. Demonstrated experience in budget management, vendor liaison, and production logistics. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and related tools. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and senior leaders. Experience in setting up and managing systems for design requests, workflow tracking, and asset libraries. Ability to mentor and guide junior staff or student contributors. Flexible, proactive, and innovative, with a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications

Degree or Professional Educational qualifications e.g. Advanced Diploma in Arts/ Illustration, Graphic and Creative Design Minimum of 5 years design experience Proven experience in managing design projects
