Job Overview We are seeking an Automotive CAD expert to design detailed 3‑D car specifications and build an interactive web experience. The final models must be optimized for web (GLB/GLTF) and integrated into a clickable interface using Three.js or a comparable technology.
Example of the Feature A user views a car on a website, clicks the engine, the 3‑D model fades into X‑ray mode, the engine highlights, and a pop‑up displays specs such as “Twin Turbo 3.0L – 400hp – Magnesium Alloy”.
Responsibilities
Build or refine 3‑D CAD models of the car and its internal components.
Annotate or link component specs (performance, dimensions, materials).
Convert models from Blender to GLTF/GLB, optimizing for web (LOD, decimation, texture bake).
Use Three.js or React Three Fiber to create an interactive interface with clickable zones.
Implement transparent/X‑ray materials for active components.
Add a user panel with specs, and optionally animate parts with an explode view.
Qualifications
Experience designing automotive parts using CAD and creating spec breakdowns.
Proficiency in creating interactive 3‑D or X‑ray style models online.
Knowledge of software workflows linking CAD to web integration (e.g., Blender, Three.js).
Understanding of automotive systems design and digital twins is preferred.
