Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager Grand Sierra Resort is seeking a Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to drive content coordination, development, production, implementation and curation, social media engagement, and online consumer relations for a large hotel, casino resort brand across multiple channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic social media campaigns for a market‑leading destination resort.

Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.

Foster continued growth of highly engaged social media communities using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, blogs, video, apps, paid media, and other tools/properties.

Support development of multicultural social media communication strategy.

Serve as social media community manager for multiple outlets – main property brand, wedding chapel, live poker room, arena, family fun center – including content planning, creation, scheduling and curation in collaboration with internal business verticals and external marketing agencies/partners.

Manage consumer relations and conversation monitoring – posting new content, engaging with posted comments, and resolving consumer inquiries in a timely manner on platforms such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google Business.

Oversee social media campaigns and digital media activations.

Provide real‑time social media coverage and photography for on‑property events (e.g., New Year’s Eve, Hot August Nights, food & beverage, nightlife, concerts).

Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (original text, photos, videos and news).

Analyze campaign performance and report on ROI.

Maintain brand consistency across all social media platforms and collaborate with marketing, sales and guest service teams.

Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, such as promotions and competitions.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Excellent copywriting skills.

Hands‑on experience in content and project management.

Creative content delivery (text, image and video).

Strong photography and videography skills – use of Digital SLR camera, lighting and audio/sound recording equipment, scene staging, directing and working with models, photo/video editing and production (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro).

Proficiency with social media listening, scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).

Must be able to work during high‑volume and key event periods.

Minimum 21 years of age.

Education & Experience

3‑5 years of relevant Social Media experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent.

Experience in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, food & beverage preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card required.

Physical Demands

Constant sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, crouching, kneeling.

Push/pull 30 lbs or less occasionally.

Repetitive use of both hands, light and firm grasping motions.

Vision requirements (distance, depth perception, color vision).

Work Environment

Indoor and outdoor work, frequent face‑to‑face verbal contact with others.

High‑noise events such as concerts and nightlife.

Occasional assignments away from primary work location.
