Pay Details $24.00 – $31.00 per hour

Schedule Tuesday‑Saturday; 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

About the Position The Assistant Community Manager assists in day‑to‑day operations and supports the Community Manager to ensure optimal performance in leasing and marketing, compliance, accounting and resident satisfaction. Candidates should have tax credit housing experience.

Job Responsibilities

Assist the Community Manager in all daily operations.

Perform accounting tasks: collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; process month‑end, move‑ins, move‑outs, and zero receipts.

Maintain Yardi and resident management software, ensuring data accuracy.

Support marketing and leasing: social media, reputation management, advertising, collateral, curb appeal and pricing.

Engage prospective residents via lead software, email, phone, appointments and follow‑up; guide through application, tax credit and move‑in processes.

Administer lease agreements, addendums, renewals, prospect screening and legal notices with accuracy.

Respond to resident inquiries and service requests in a timely manner; coordinate with Resident Relations to deescalate issues.

Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects and guests.

Participate in resident events, community programming and local/non‑profit programs.

Assist with tax credit program compliance: monitor rents, move‑ins and re‑certifications; coordinate with Compliance Department.

Act as onsite supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence.

Submit reporting as directed, meeting deadlines.

Maintain effective communication with the Community Manager, alerting immediately of employee or community concerns.

Document injuries and incidents per company guidelines and report promptly.

Maintain positive relationships with local housing authorities and agencies.

Implement new systems, programs and procedures; use company technology and software appropriately.

Follow, support and enforce company policies and procedures.

Collaborate respectfully with peers and departments.

Pursue ongoing training and stay updated on industry and legal trends.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years property management experience, including multi‑family leasing.

Strong operational background and leasing skills.

Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

Thorough knowledge of Federal Fair Housing and related regulations.

Knowledge of Section 42 LIHTC program and compliance processes preferred.

Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High school education or equivalent.

18 years of age or older.

English reading, writing and speaking sufficient for duties.

Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.

Legally qualified to work in the U.S. under I‑9 guidelines.
