About Zebulon CPL Baseball The team in Zebulon will be a proud member of the Coastal Plain League. The CPL is a 15‑team Collegiate Summer Baseball League ranging from Virginia to Georgia. The Zebulon Team is an expansion team that will have an Australian angle focused on affordable family entertainment while delivering a quality baseball product on the field.

Overview The Manager of Marketing & Community Relations plays a critical role in building the identity and fan base of Zebulon's new Coastal Plain League expansion team. This position leads the team’s marketing, social media, creative content, and community engagement efforts, helping establish an Australian‑themed brand focused on affordable, family‑friendly entertainment and high‑quality baseball.

Job Tasks Social Media

Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars for Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Drive new fans through the marketing funnel using lead generation, engagement, conversion, and retention tactics.

Track, analyze, and report on social media performance to inform ongoing optimization.

Oversee the Content Creation Intern, ensuring timely, brand‑aligned work and consistent execution.

Marketing & Community Engagement

Plan, coordinate, and execute community events that strengthen brand presence.

Schedule and manage player appearances, ensuring professional representation at all community activities.

Collaborate with coaches and players to encourage participation in service initiatives.

Oversee mascot operations, including scheduling, inquiries, and coordination with mascot performers.

Maintain and update the team website with accurate, timely information.

Uphold brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Develop marketing and promotional strategies, including email campaigns, designed to maximize ticket sales and brand visibility.

Create and execute targeted campaigns for season tickets, single‑game tickets, and group sales.

Creative Services

Produce graphic design assets for social media, in‑park signage, digital platforms, and promotional materials.

Create motion graphics for social media, website content, in‑park entertainment, and internal video needs.

Assist with capturing and producing video content from home games, stadium events, and off‑site appearances.

Manage creative projects from concept through delivery, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time execution.

Promotions/Game Presentation

Supervise the Promotions/Game Presentation Intern, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of game‑day entertainment that is compliant with sponsorship agreements.

Assist in developing the season promotional calendar with a focus on ticket‑driving themes.

Ensure all props and materials are prepared for in‑game entertainment elements.

Review and help maintain accuracy of game‑day scripts and schedules, including sponsorship fulfillment.

Other Responsibilities

Approach all duties with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a team‑oriented attitude.

Actively contribute ideas during staff meetings to support fan‑base growth.

Assist with stadium setup, décor, and operational needs as part of an all‑hands‑on‑deck front office culture.

Represent the organization professionally at community events and appearances.

Assist with team laundry needs throughout the season, including players, coaches, and mascots.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in sport management, marketing, advertising, business, or related field.

1–2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports or entertainment.

Minimum (1) year experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience managing social media for an organization.

Must have sports experience.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds over distances of at least 25 yards.

Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform essential verbal and auditory communication tasks.

Work safely in and around moving machinery and loud environments.

Work Conditions

Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Maintain a flexible schedule aligned with CPL games, events, and ballpark needs, including holidays and weekends.
