Business Analyst with UX Design
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make the business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
This position is responsible for assisting with the facilitation and analysis across numerous related initiatives and leading special projects as assigned by agency leadership. These responsibilities include: developing business analysis tools; defining requirements; reporting progress on key projects to management; providing recommendations to agency leadership. This position will also work with staff to initiate, facilitate or participate in projects to maximize the success of multiple and diverse projects. Works under limited direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
8 years required: Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate and analyze system requirements; devise solutions to problems; prepare concise reports; analyze and solve complex problems and prioritize information and issues.
8 years required: Ability to develop and present reports identifying gaps in functionality and operational effectiveness to executive stakeholders.
8 years required: Develops or contributes to the development of as‑is/to‑be process models to identify opportunities for greater operational efficiencies. Skilled in effectively mapping business processes and identifying process improvements and planning.
8 years required: Experience with the analysis of program policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems and system functional areas.
8 years required: Works with functional teams to understand current and upcoming needs not currently met with existing processes and technology solutions.
5 years preferred: Experience creating strong relationships with project stakeholders. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills. Work with stakeholders to identify, define and document requirements.
5 years preferred: Experience developing strategic and project SDLC materials, including gap analysis, recommendations, roadmaps, requirements, design documents, test cases, and use cases.
1 year preferred: Possess UX design experience.
