Internal Communications Specialist Position Summary

The Internal Communications Specialist supports internal communication efforts across the health system, with a primary focus on Human Resources (HR) initiatives and messaging. Reporting to the Manager of Integrated Marketing & Communications, this position helps create clear, consistent, and engaging communication that reflects the organization's brand voice, values, and culture. The Specialist serves as a key voice for HR-related communications, developing and producing high-quality content across internal channels, including intranet stories, employee email announcements, presentations, articles, talking points, and video scripts. The role contributes to the HR content calendar, ensuring coordinated and timely storytelling that supports organizational priorities and advances employee engagement. In addition to HR-focused responsibilities, the Internal Communications Specialist assists in broader systemwide internal communication projects, helping departments communicate effectively and consistently. The Specialist collaborates closely with HR partners, subject-matter experts, and the Marketing & Communications team to deliver clear messages, maintain accurate content, and support the overall communication strategy.

Internal Communications Specialist Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or a related field is required. Experience Required:

Experience using Microsoft products (Planner, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience with content management systems, email platforms, and digital communication tools preferred. Experience using Quark, InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is preferred. Must be familiar with AP Style. Internal Communications Specialist Schedule
