Summary
The Production Control Expeditor is responsible for scheduling the production floor based upon the master schedule, material availability, and capacity. The Production Control Expeditor will maximize throughput by scheduling work as efficiently as possible in each department. They will work closely with the production team to make sure our throughput and on-time delivery goals are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Release Production Orders to the shop floor – ensuring information in ERP system matches the Contract Review Checklist Schedule work at various departments, taking into account customer needs, capacity, material and tooling availability, and setup efficiency Provide status on open order reports as requested by sales team/customers Process Change Orders Ensure accuracy of ship dates in ERP system Review actual throughput against expected throughput on CPAs to identify production issues Communicate any constraints and quality concerns to management team Other duties as assigned by manager (may include being a backup in other areas such as Shipping & Receiving) Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have ERP & Microsoft Excel Experience Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
