Job Description

NBC Sports Marketing Creative team seeks an exceptionally talented Creative Director to push creative boundaries with ideas and concepts that innovate and engage our audiences. The Creative Director will work on some of NBC Sports biggest properties, including the NBA.

Role Purpose

The Creative Director will manage a team of writers, producers, editors, and outside vendors, serving as the head visionary of each project to deliver original, high-impact creative that drives viewership and drives brand engagement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Managers to manage timelines, budgets, and creation of entire video campaigns, including promos, shoots, social/digital, ad sales deliverables.
  • Lead a team of writers/producers/editors and outside vendors as the head visionary of each project, guiding creative POV for multiple audience targets.
  • Bring big, innovative ideas to every project that grab attention beyond sports fans.
  • Take creative risks, embrace failure for breakthrough concepts.
  • Serve as Creative Lead on campaigns, collaborating with strategy, social, and consumer engagement teams to ensure on‑brand, goal‑aligned execution.
  • Collaborate with NBC Sports production members to ideate and execute on‑brand content for marketing and production needs.
  • Mentor new talent and identify creative agencies to elevate work.
  • Write and produce promos, sizzles, social & digital assets as needed.
  • Be a flexible, self‑starter with strong multitasking and project ownership.
  • Interface with the creative community and all levels of NBC organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in broadcast network, film studio, top advertising vendors, streaming or entertainment cable network writing, producing, and directing commercials and promos.
  • Extensive knowledge of production and post‑production process.
  • Proficiency with post‑production software including AVID and Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
  • Willingness to work long hours, weekends, short notice.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Submit resume/CV and portfolio or body of work online.
  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT, and available to work from office at least three days per week (hybrid).
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
