Job Description
This full-time Hotwire role is hybrid and open to candidates located within 100 miles of our New York City or San Francisco office location.
About You
You are a natural born leader, passionate about your work and your team. You feel successful when they’re successful. You have several years of hands on experience working at a midsize to large size PR agency, leading teams and representing a wide range of enterprise B2B tech focused accounts, including experience working with FinTech clients. You are always ready to steady the ship when waters are choppy and to inspire the team and delight clients with your insight, ideas and advice.
You know how to cut through the buzzwords and industry jargon to hone a communications strategy that drives business results. You are passionate about what you do, enjoy strategic planning as much as tactical execution. You are able to assess chaos and instinctively attempt to make order out of it.
You see a challenge and reflexively devise a path for how to overcome it. You are able to set goals and immediately formulate a plan to achieve them. You are results oriented and keep client results and agency goals at the front of your mind at all times. You are competent, creative, trustworthy, engaging, organized and passionate about communications in all of its many forms.

Daily, You Will:
- Own client relationships and manage accounts spanning all B2B technology sectors (FinTech, Emerging Tech, Cybersecurity, Industrial Tech, Enterprise Tech, Marketing & e‑Commerce)
- Execute efficient and effective financial and corporate communication plans
- Deliver excellent client service across a group of client accounts
- Demonstrate account and team leadership of the highest standards
- Contribute to the success of the agency by contributing to business development and product development
- Retain and promote top performing direct reports
- Ensure direct reports meet utilization targets
- Drive the new business development effort (manage a lead from start to finish) and win new accounts as needed to maintain oversight of account revenue
- Display proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Qualifications
- Strong experience in agency as a Senior Account Manager/Senior Account Supervisor, Director or in‑house communications PR Director
- B2B technology sectors (FinTech, Cybersecurity, Emerging Tech, Industrial Tech, Enterprise Tech, Marketing & e‑Commerce)
- A love for storytelling and media strategy and media relations with large global brands
- Experience supporting corporate communications programs that include working with C‑suite executives (including CEO) on external communications and building recommendations for executive programs
- Experience with financial comms and earnings announcements with publicly traded companies
- Quirkiness – Not afraid to speak up and own your ideas
- An obsession with continuous improvement
- Curiosity about how the business works and how you contribute to the organization’s success
- A drive to produce excellent work
- Pragmatic and goal oriented mindset
- A strong written and presentation communication skill set, with the comfort to present ideas and make a case to clients and partner agencies
- A positive, authentic, solution‑oriented team player with a good sense of humor
- Hands‑on experience managing and mentoring direct reports and cross‑functional teammates
Compensation Range
$98,000 - $137,000, depending on level of experience. This range is one component of Hotwire’s total compensation package for employees, which includes bonus opportunities and a variety of benefits mentioned above. Hotwire takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected work to be performed, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
