Billion Dollar Boy is looking for a seasoned self‑starter to join our fast‑growing US Production team. The role ideally starts on December 8, 2023, and runs until March 2026 with a possibility of extension, requiring 3 days per week. The position is based in NYC, with occasional in‑person meetings at our NYC office.

We are seeking a Senior Producer with demonstrable expertise in planning and executing a wide range of productions, spanning everything from nimble, creator‑led content to high‑value, large‑scale shoots. Your comprehensive production knowledge will be key to supporting other agency teams and our clients and ensuring that every BDB production reflects our core business vision: “to set a new standard for advertising.”

  • Collaborate with creative teams to review, refine, and validate concepts for feasibility and alignment with brand standards.

  • Translate creative concepts and visual references into practical implementation in terms of production.
  • Define a bespoke approach for each different production to get the best creative output every time.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that creativity is protected throughout the delivery of the project.
  • Understand, defend and articulate creative goals as required, driving stronger creative work on their projects as a result.

Responsibility & Accountability

  • Take responsibility for managing all levels and types of production through to delivery, and feel accountable for both the work, the craft and the process, ensuring we deliver on time and on budget.
  • Take responsibility for seamless handovers to or from other producers for large‑scale productions at key stages in the project (eg: post‑production).
  • Drive decision‑making around projects, ensuring that key stakeholders are involved and consulted at the right moments, resulting in projects being more efficiently delivered.
  • Take responsibility for decisions and hold team members accountable, dealing with consequences as required.

Commercial Acumen

  • Comfortable scoping and managing budgets for multiple projects to commercial success.
  • Understand and clearly articulate commercial decisions on the delivery of their projects to the benefit of the project.
  • Work proactively with client services, project management and finance teams to input into discussions around client SOW, budgets and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge and direct experience of industry best practice and legal regulations and compliance across different regulatory bodies such as APA, IPA and SAG.
  • Leans into the wider Creative dept way of working and actively contributes to the creative and design process.
  • Facilitates and drives collaboration between internal agency teams and production partners, ensuring that key conversations happen in a timely manner.
  • Leads the selection of the production partner and manages due diligence around this process.
  • Extends the agency network of trusted partners and professionals.
  • Provides guidance as needed on smaller or less complex productions (which may be managed by account or project management team).
  • Leans into guiding other teams who may be less experienced with production/shoots.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Anticipate and resolve problems throughout the production, demonstrating an ability to mitigate & manage risk.
  • Proactively resolve day‑to‑day problems without requiring escalation.
  • Demonstrate strong judgement in decision making ability.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 5 years+ in an integrated production environment, ideally with some agency‑side time.
  • Plan and lead film, stills and content shoots and run post‑production.
  • Work across creator & influencer marketing campaigns as well as producing content for social channels.
  • Desirable experience across other production areas such as merch, props & gifting, experiential, stunts & branded events, digital, online advertising & AR.
  • Work with both external production suppliers and in‑house agency resources.
  • Run smaller shoots (operating more as a line producer) and liaise with production or service company (agency producer).
  • Manage multiple productions across different accounts concurrently, or one‑two complex productions with 360‑channel deliverables/markets.
  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency in assessing feasibility and estimating & scoping productions of differing size and complexity.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets (or Excel) and other Google Suite tools such as Slides.
  • Familiar with timeline/Gantt project planning using software/tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Client‑facing.

  • Understand all aspects of social media, keeping up with changing deliverables and formats across platforms.
  • Grasp the shape of the wider agency ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
