Project Designer - Transmission Line Design

You’ll apply your expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce and revise construction drawings, coordinate with technical teams, and contribute to workflow improvements. Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer‑Assisted Drafting and Design (CAD) or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology
6+ years of experience
Proficient understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation
Interest in high‑voltage transmission/distribution lines; knowledge of PLS‑CADD and/or safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, ASCE IEEE) is a plus
Practiced ability to read, understand and develop construction drawings
Reliable ability to work independently and within a team environment, collaborating with individuals from various offices and disciplines
Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, with effective problem‑solving abilities and consistent attention to detail
Team‑oriented with experience collaborating across disciplines to support project execution
Clear and professional communicator capable of conveying technical information across teams and disciplines
Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
Responsible for creating and revising drawings and documentation for transmission and distribution projects in AutoCAD, based on scope documents, engineering sketches, and verbal instructions
Coordinate with technical personnel to gather and record data for design projects and complete as‑built and record print revisions from marked drawings
Contribute to the development and implementation of drawing‑development workflows and CAD‑based design operations
Mentor less experienced designers/drafters and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team
Accountable for the quality of deliverables and support peer reviews to uphold team standards
