HDR HDR is a full‑service engineering and design firm that builds sustainable power systems. We invite experienced engineering students or graduates to contribute to innovative transmission line projects that power communities worldwide. Responsibilities

Conduct analyses to develop overhead and underground transmission line design options and assist in preparing project deliverables, such as PLS‑CADD models, engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and technical specifications. Perform routine engineering assignments using standard transmission line design techniques and procedures, including structure loading, conductor sag/tension calculations, and clearance checks. Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables, ensuring compliance with NESC, ASCE, and client standards. Work independently on small transmission line projects or assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects. Collaborate with Project Engineers, other EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists to deliver high‑quality designs. Assist with other transmission line engineering tasks – field data collection and construction support, as required. Preferred Qualifications

EIT certificate (non‑EITs will be placed in a Design Coordinator role and will be required to obtain an EIT license). Experience with PLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE, or similar transmission line design software. Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as NESC, ASCE, IEEE. Internship or coursework related to power transmission systems. Local candidates preferred. Required Qualifications
