Design Development (Part or Full Time) Position Overview We are seeking a highly design-oriented Architect or Architectural Designer with the ability to effectively manage and execute the Construction Documentation (CD) and Construction Administration (CA) phases. This role requires strong coordination abilities, exceptional design, organizational, and communication skills. The position provides an opportunity to develop in an intimate small studio setting and the possibility to engage all stages and aspects of projects from research and conceptual development to execution.
Required Qualifications
Professional degree: M.Arch or B.Arch from an accredited institution
Minimum 1 year of post-graduation, hands‑on experience in CD and CA phases of design-oriented projects, and ability to independently and collaboratively coordinate and execute the documentation and administration.
Legal authorization to work in the United States (required)
NYC based
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with adaptive reuse projects
Working knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning regulations
Familiarity with art, spaces of space, and cultural/institutional programs
Position Details This is primarily a part-time position with the potential to be combined with other roles for full-time employment, if applicable (See https://nhdm.net/Contact for other available positions). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill level.
