Senior Enterprise Communications Strategist
Job Overview: The Edward Jones Change & Internal Communications team is seeking a Senior Enterprise Communications Strategist to develop high‑impact communications strategies that help internal stakeholders understand and embrace the firm’s strategy and adopt necessary changes to achieve our ambition.
Location: St. Louis, MO (hybrid; 3 days per week in office, preference Tuesday‑Thursday). Candidates living within commutable distance of Tempe, AZ also eligible for hybrid.
Compensation: $99,200 – $168,900 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), health savings account, flexible spending account, 10 paid holidays, 15 days vacation (new associates), sick time, personal days, paid volunteerary day. Bonus and profit‑sharing possible.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end internal communication strategies for large, complex strategic efforts.
Contribute to firm‑wide messaging strategy and editorial planning for stakeholder‑centric activations.
Use data and stakeholder input to coach/advise leaders and influence strategic decisions to adjust the communication plan.
Leverage communication metrics to assess effectiveness and present results to senior stakeholders.
Informally lead other communications consultants/specialists and manage resources from enabling functions.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to integrate and align efforts with other changes underway.
Collaborate with External Affairs and Marketing to ensure consistency between internal and external messaging.
Recommend improvements and innovation in content and channel delivery based on best‑in‑class practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of strategic communications experience; focus on internal communications and change management preferred.
Proven expertise in developing and executing strategies for large, complex organizations.
High‑profile project ownership and management experience.
Strong writing skills for diverse media.
Experience managing content production and determining channel activation strategies.
Ability to translate stakeholder needs into communication strategies and experiences.
Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, able to influence senior leaders.
Preferred Experience
Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
Experience supporting organizational transformation or large‑scale change management.
Flexibility to adjust quickly to new circumstances.
Familiarity with AI tools and innovations in communication delivery.
