Creative Strategist, Insights & Culture
role at
Allison Worldwide .
About Us We imagine the new, inspire the next, and use the power of our creativity to help build up those around us. At Allison, we provide a limitless environment where you can build, create, and grow. Our openly collaborative and highly supportive culture is free from bureaucracy and red tape. With over 1,000 innovators from diverse backgrounds, we break new ground for world‑class clients across 50 global markets and dozens of industries. We believe in creating a space where everyone can freely express their opinions, share their ideas and dreams for the future, and be themselves.
Overview We’re looking for a curious, culture‑savvy creative strategist who can connect the dots between what’s happening in the world and what brands should do about it. Someone who moves fluidly between data and intuition, spreadsheets and scroll holes, cultural signals and brand strategy. You’ll play a key role in developing insight‑driven, earned‑worthy ideas that live across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels. Equal parts researcher, storyteller, and cultural decoder, you’ll turn observations from Reddit threads, Amazon reviews, and TikTok trends into creative opportunities that drive real business results. This isn’t a role for a trend chaser. It’s for someone who can see the patterns behind the noise and turn them into sharp cultural points of view.
Responsibilities
Lead research and insight development across categories and audiences, combining qualitative, quantitative, and cultural data to uncover the "why" behind behaviors.
Field and synthesize research from diverse sources: social listening, online communities, academic studies, consumer reports, search data, and first‑party research.
Spot and interpret cultural signals before they break mainstream and identify which ones matter to brands.
Turn insights into ideas that travel naturally across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels.
Partner with creative team to translate insights into bold, integrated campaign platforms that spark attention and conversation.
Develop trend reports, POVs, and strategic narratives that help clients understand what’s shaping culture and commerce.
Collaborate with PR, creative, media, and influencer teams to ensure every idea is both strategically sound and culturally fluent.
Support new business pitches by bringing data‑driven insights and fresh, culturally aware thinking.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in creative, brand, or cultural strategy, ideally within an earned‑first, integrated, or creative agency.
Proven ability to analyze and synthesize large volumes of information into clear, actionable insights.
Comfort navigating multiple types of research including desk research, fielding research, social listening, and consumer data analysis.
A portfolio that demonstrates how you’ve turned insights into ideas that earned attention or shifted perception.
Deep curiosity for culture and the internet. You naturally spend time exploring TikTok, Reddit, niche communities, and comment sections for signals.
Strong storytelling and presentation skills. You can make complex data feel simple, inspiring, and actionable.
A natural collaborator who thrives on working across creative, media, and PR disciplines.
Benefits
Hybrid work environment with home and office schedule (2+ days in office per week) and work‑from‑anywhere weeks.
Comprehensive health benefits (healthcare, vision, dental, pet, home, and auto insurance).
Generous time off policies (unlimited paid time off, wellness days, national holidays, summer Fridays).
Four‑week sabbatical every five years of employment.
Exceptional parental leave benefits.
Global mentorship and networking programs.
Monthly cell phone reimbursement.
401(k) savings and employee stock purchase plan.
Volunteer hours (20 hours annually) for a designated non‑profit partner and personal choice.
Globally driven DEI initiatives (Employee Advocacy Groups, DEI committee).
Career growth opportunities, such as Allison University (multi‑day customized trainings for each level).
Location: New York, NY · Salary: $96,000–$156,000 · Employment type: Full‑time · Seniority level: Mid‑Senior Level · Job function: Marketing & Sales · Industry: Public Relations and Communications Services.
