Average Earning Potential After Training: $50,000 – $80,000 (inclusive of base, commission, and bonus) Training Pay: $15 – $20 per hour for 3‑4 weeks (no commission) Key Responsibilities
Promote the La‑Z‑Boy In‑Home Design program and present customized portfolio presentations tailored to client requirements to achieve or surpass design sales goals. Achieve annual operating benchmarks and personal objectives. Schedule and conduct in‑home consultations to understand clients’ unique needs, preferences, and vision. Partner with Store and Sales Managers to coach, train, and support sales teams, improving design culture, product knowledge, and sales techniques. Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and decor, translating lifestyle, taste, and budget into actionable recommendations. Ensure proper execution of all systems and administrative procedures, support store management with meetings and special projects, and uphold brand visual standards. Minimum Requirements
Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 2‑3 years in sales or interior design, with a residential emphasis. Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, computer‑aided design programs, financial understanding, interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service. Other: Ability to work the schedule dictated by business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred Requirements
Design certification. Advanced interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience building effective relationships. Physical Demands/Work Environment
Lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Operate a motor vehicle. Stand for long periods and perform repetitive hand motions. Mostly sit, walk, bend, and stoop; work in typical indoor environmental conditions. Pass background and drug screen. Benefits and Compensation Details
Total Compensation Range: $26,000 – $90,000 Post‑Training Base Pay: $26,000 per year Commission & Bonus: Uncapped commission on written sales (3.5% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales). Monthly bonus opportunity of $0 – $2,000 based on meeting specific sales goals. Weekly Hours
