Monitor federal and state court dockets and regulatory databases to gather newsworthy information
Pitch story ideas to editors based on current legal developments
Track congressional hearings and other significant events relevant to the legal community
Conduct research and assist in writing news articles
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely news coverage
What is Required (Qualifications)
Demonstrated research and writing skills
Solid organizational skills
Must be available to work Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (ET)
A background in media or publishing is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in the media or publishing industry
Familiarity with legal news topics and trends
Previous internship or work experience in journalism
Strong network within the legal community
Interest in legal analysis and reporting
