Overview The Associate Photographer is a versatile team member responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Working with a top‑of‑the‑line Matterport Pro 3 camera, digital cameras, and an iPad, photographers create virtual tours, floor plans, and marketing photography for residential homes and apartments. Each photographer has a core territory and manages a schedule of appointments set for defined dates and times. Responsibilities Capture 3‑D virtual tours and floor plans using Matterport Pro 3 cameras. Create a portfolio of photographs to highlight homes and apartments for marketing purposes. Collaborate with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands. Communicate professionally with clients, sales partners, researchers, and management to prioritize tasks. While not on a residential assignment, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real‑estate data coverage, identify new inventory, and photograph missing properties. Adhere to CoStar safety standards for vehicle and equipment use. Represent CoStar professionally at all times and participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed. Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day. Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds. Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while operating camera equipment and typing on a tablet or laptop. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying. Work and drive outside during all seasons, including rotating weekends. Qualifications At least 2 years of professional photography experience, preferably in real‑estate photography. Experience with Matterport Pro 3 or equivalent 3‑D camera technology. Valid FAA Part 107 drone license (certified within 30 days of hire). Strong time‑management skills, detail orientation, and the ability to capture and enter data accurately. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment; field experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record verified prior to start. Compensation Hourly pay plus monthly bonus eligibility based on performance metrics. The base pay equates to approximately $50,000 annualized, with additional potential for monthly bonuses.
