Contemporary Studio Art Teachers – Part‑time

Pay Range: $25.00/hr – $40.00/hr (based on skills and experience)

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Art Teachers for adult students for Thursdays and Saturdays at our Hartsdale school location. The role will start in September 2025. Students select between a guided project class in which all curriculum is provided, or an open studio format where the teacher assists students in a student‑driven work. Both formats use a wide variety of mediums and techniques.

The curriculum is centrally created, so minimal prep is required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided. Fine Arts instructors need a strong background in visual arts – BFA or MFA preferred and at least 10 years fine art teaching experience.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 10+ years of experience teaching fine art classes
• MFA or Masters in Art Education
• Knowledge of a wide range of studio art mediums and techniques
• Thoughtful communication skills
• A passion for One River School's mission
• Must live within easy commutable distance from the work site location
