Job Summary
We are currently recruiting Art Teachers for our adult students for weekdays and Saturdays at our Larchmont school location. We need a Studio Art teacher with experience teaching advanced and beginner adult art students. Our adult students choose between a guided project class in which One River provides all the curriculum, or an open studio format where the teacher assists the students in creating artwork that is student-driven. In both cases a wide variety of mediums and techniques are used. We need teachers to be comfortable delivering our proprietary curriculum to adults. This involves following pre‑written lesson plans and adhering to specific learning goals and timelines. Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment, and supplies are provided. Our Fine Arts instructors need a strong background in visual arts – BFA or MFA preferred and at least 10 years fine‑art teaching experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include teaching adult art classes, delivering the proprietary curriculum, managing lesson plans, and fostering a student‑driven environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 10+ years of experience teaching fine art classes
- MFA or Master’s in Art Education
- Knowledge of a wide range of studio art mediums and techniques
- Thoughtful communication skills
- A passion for One River School's mission
- Must live within easy commutable distance from the work site location

Base pay range: $25.00/hr – $40.00/hr
