The Audio/Visual Technician is responsible for design, setup, running, and take-down of audio/visual (A/V) equipment used throughout the corporate campus. The Audio/Visual Technician will also provide technical assistance and support throughout the building and during events as requested or as needed. The Audio/Visual Technician will be familiar with the building, its equipment, policies, programs, and services.
Responsibilities
- Setup and teardown A/V equipment for meetings and various functions around the building.
- Troubleshoot A/V equipment when there are technical questions or problems related to A/V equipment and identifying appropriate solutions.
- Read and interpret room diagrams with respect to A/V setups.
- Serve as on-site A/V support for events that take place on campus.
- Provide basic instruction on the operation of A/V equipment to customers as necessary.
- Assist in weekly inventory of A/V equipment.
- Work with manufacturers and vendors to develop relationships related to equipment servicing (technical support, securing return authorizations, etc).
- Maintain tickets by assigned status; updates/follow-up required within specified SLA urgency.
- Manage calendar assignments and coordinate with Field Service Techs daily.
- Meet financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Document specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolved.
- Assist in the documentation of the network, applications and resources on the network in conjunction with the public service staff.
- Attend meetings and serve on committees, as requested.
- Coordinate with the Trainer to set up and take down A/V equipment, as well as any other equipment needed for meetings.
- Coordinate with upper management to setup new offices as needed.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.
