The Role
As the Manager of Influencer & Viral Marketing at Back Blocks Music, you will be a hands‑on digital marketer with a deep understanding of the creator economy, influencer landscape, and viral music culture. You’ll bring creative instincts for audience growth, a strong grasp of digital trends, and a proven ability to execute campaigns that drive discovery and engagement for artists.
In this role, you’ll help shape how Back Blocks Music activates creators and cultural moments to amplify artists and releases in today’s fast‑moving attention economy. The ideal candidate is passionate about music and storytelling, with a deep curiosity for how audiences discover and connect with artists online.
This is a full‑time, hybrid role. The Manager of Influencer & Viral Marketing will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and work closely with Artist Development, and Digital Strategy teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, execute, and manage influencer and viral marketing campaigns across artist platforms.
- Identify, pitch, and manage creator partnerships that drive awareness, engagement, and streaming growth for artists and releases.
- Oversee and execute seeding campaigns—identifying and distributing content to creators, meme pages, and fan communities to drive organic viral reach.
- Manage the growth of fan pages and online communities across social media to amplify releases, build fandom, and drive ongoing engagement.
- Collaborate with the Artist & Label Strategy team to align campaigns with commercial goals and audience growth objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with creators, influencer agencies, fan networks, and social media platforms.
- Manage short‑form content workflows—from clip selection to editing and seeding across TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Track campaign performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights to internal teams and artist partners.
- Stay current on platform algorithm changes, emerging social trends, and viral content formats.
- Create reports that analyze ROI, audience lift, and campaign effectiveness for influencer and seeding activations.
- Support artist and management teams with guidance on creator best practices and strategies.
- Contribute to internal playbooks, workflows, and tooling recommendations that improve campaign execution and scalability.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in influencer, creator, or social media marketing—preferably within influencer, music or entertainment.
- Demonstrated success managing influencer and/or seeding campaigns that drove measurable audience engagement and growth.
- Familiarity with major creator platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) and their respective analytics or creator tools.
- Understanding of how viral trends, fan communities, and music discovery intersect.
- Experience managing social fan pages or communities with strong engagement metrics.
- Experience negotiating with creators or micro‑influencers.
- Proficiency in campaign measurement tools (e.g., Chartmetric, Soundcharts, CreatorIQ, Co:brand, CreatorCore, Modash).
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
Bonus Points
- Experience working directly with artists, creators, managers, or labels on creator or digital campaigns.
- Familiarity with AI‑driven or emerging tools for content creation and marketing.
- A track record of identifying viral moments or trends before they break.
