Paid Media Specialist (Search & Social)
At Converge Marketing, the Paid Media Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving client success through expertly crafted paid media strategies. This hands-on, strategic position is responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and reporting on a variety of digital campaigns. While this role does not involve direct people management, it requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the autonomy to deliver impactful results. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in search engine marketing (SEM), paid social, and ideally display marketing tactics, thriving in a dynamic performance marketing environment.
Core Responsibilities * Design, implement, and refine paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) and paid social initiatives (Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.) tailored to Converge Marketing client objectives and key performance indicators. * Track, assess, and report on campaign outcomes, delivering actionable insights and recommendations that drive ongoing optimization and measurable results. * Remain up-to-date with the latest trends, platform changes, and emerging technologies in search and social media marketing to maintain Converge Marketing's competitive edge. * Collaborate closely with internal account, creative, and analytics teams to build integrated marketing strategies and provide exceptional client service. * Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. * Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and competitive analysis to inform strategy. * Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and bid strategies to maximize ROI. * Support new business efforts with channel expertise, media plan development, and pitching when needed.
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 3+ years of hands-on experience in search engine marketing and paid social media, ideally within an agency or performance marketing environment. * Proficient in campaign management platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and relevant analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.). * Strong analytical skills and experience with A/B testing, conversion tracking, and performance reporting. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Certifications in Google Ads, Meta, or related platforms are a plus. Ability to work in programmatic buying a plus.
Recommended Years of Experience
3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in search and social campaign management is recommended for this role. Candidates with agency backgrounds and a proven record of delivering measurable results in performance marketing environments are strongly preferred.
