Overview Are you a creative storyteller who loves keeping your community informed? As an In‑Focus Producer at Spectrum News, you'll serve as the heart of the newsroom, leading local news coverage, determining which stories reach the audience, and collaborating with colleagues to craft compelling broadcasts across TV and digital platforms. What Our Producers Enjoy Most Developing an in‑depth understanding of local and breaking news Creating newscasts that attract and hold audiences’ attention Transforming stories from a simple pitch into a hit that inspires and delights viewers Collaborating with colleagues to determine what goes on air Responsibilities Lead local news coverage, identify and prioritize stories, collaborate with reporting and production teams, make decisions about what and when to air, manage content across multiple platforms, ensure accuracy and quality, and maintain a fast‑paced, evolving newsroom environment.
