Social Work | Student Affairs Position Overview

The College of Social Work at Ohio State University seeks part‑time, semester reappointment lecturers to provide instruction for undergraduate and MSW programs. Lecturers bring extensive professional experience and academic knowledge that enrich the curriculum and provide a field perspective to students. Performance Objectives

Lecturers are expected to: Follow the course syllabus created by the program committees. Use Canvas to post syllabi, manage grades, and provide resources. Attend course planning meetings to coordinate readings, assignments, and rubrics with other instructors. Grade assignments and give timely written feedback in accordance with Ohio Department of Higher Education and university timelines. Report final grades on time and any instances of academic misconduct. Follow up with students granted incompletes to ensure final grades are submitted. Be accessible to students outside of class by email or phone and hold office hours for meetings. Education & Experience Requirements

Required: Master’s degree in Social Work and a minimum of two years of post‑graduate social work experience, or a Master’s in a related field with similar experience. Must have teaching experience specific to SWK 5016 - Affiliated Social Work Practice with LGBTQ Individuals, Couples, and Families, and expertise in culturally aware practice with LGBTQ populations. Knowledge of Council on Social Work Education standards and online teaching and course development experience. Desired: MSW and a minimum of two years of post‑graduate social work experience.
