Job Description
We’re hiring a brand-new field sales role to grow Small Beer’s presence across Colorado—think sales, distribution and grassroots marketing rolled into one. You’ll own territory development, build distributor relationships, and embed our “less alcohol, more vibes” brand into bars, restaurants, stores and events across the state. If you’re outgoing, entrepreneurial and love authentic connections (plus a touch of scrappy hustle), you’ll thrive here. This isn’t your standard beer-gig—it’s a chance to join a startup on the move, help shape the brand from the ground up, and roll with a fun but serious team.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day distributor relationships: set goals, track performance, conduct ride-alongs, and implement incentive programs
Develop new account relationships (on- and off-premise) in coordination with distributors and independently
Maintain and grow key accounts: secure features, displays, menus, and ensure long-term account health
Create and own territory KPIs: distribution targets, case depletions, marketing spend, and account health metrics
Marketing & Community
Plan and execute tastings, displays, and POS programs to drive awareness and trial
Build grassroots partnerships with gyms, run clubs, festivals, and local businesses aligned with the brand
Manage a calendar of events and activations; oversee staffing and execution
Collaborate on localized marketing campaigns, influencer opportunities, and social content
Be the face of Small Beer in Colorado—build authentic relationships and make the brand part of the local beer scene
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of sales experience in beer or beverage industry
Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Ability to
travel 4 days/week
across Colorado (20–30% of time 2–5 hours from Denver) - sometimes evenings/weekends
Strong relationship builder - comfortable running store demos and engaging a crowd.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year marketing experience
Strong Colorado network or ability to build one quickly
Performance-based bonus + equity opportunities
Health benefits provided or reimbursed via additional allowance
Auto/mileage and IT allowance (phone, iPad, etc.)
Monthly T&E budget, product allowance, event access, and continuing education opportunities
