Onsite in Salt Lake City, UT — 4 Days in Office, 1 Day Remote

About the Company : One of Insight Global’s higher education clients is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join its marketing operations team. This individual will focus on campaign automation and backend marketing operations, serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on Marketo experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into automated campaigns.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming campaign requests via Workfront, clarify requirements, and translate them into actionable Marketo campaigns
Build and execute smart campaigns in Marketo, including filters, triggers, and field mapping
Document campaign processes, maintain automation workflows, and support journey mapping initiatives
Serve as the day‑to‑day production liaison between marketing stakeholders and technical teams
Troubleshoot and diagnose basic HTML/CSS issues in email campaigns when needed
Learn and apply stakeholder business processes, including general Salesforce knowledge, to support campaign execution
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, information technology, or a related field
Required Skills
2+ years of professional experience in marketing automation (Marketo strongly preferred, but Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Braze, or similar tools acceptable)
Demonstrated experience in campaign setup and automation workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven documentation experience
Familiarity with project management tools (Workfront strongly preferred)
General understanding of Salesforce business processes
Preferred Skills
Marketo certifications, such as: Adobe Certified Professional – Marketo Engage; Adobe Certified Expert – Marketo Engage Business Practitioner; Adobe Certified Master – Marketo Engage Architect
Experience specifically with B2C marketing automation
Experience with HTML/CSS troubleshooting for email campaigns
Familiarity with deduplication tools (RingLead)
Journey mapping experience
Master’s degree or higher in a related field
