Content Manager II – Capital One
Capital One is seeking a self‑motivated Content Manager II to build, maintain, and promote a future knowledge‑management system that supports our Commercial Operations team. The position is fully remote (virtual) but requires you to live within 50 miles of one of our hub locations (Plano, TX; Richmond, VA; or McLean, VA) and be available for in‑person work with at least 24‑hour notice.
Responsibilities
Attend regular meetings to map and document future “how to” processes.
Conduct research and develop process documents and detailed help guides.
Update and maintain documentation when changes or improvements are implemented.
Maintain knowledge repositories and processes that facilitate capturing critical information.
Promote knowledge‑management best practices and adoption of new tools and resources.
Partner with management to identify process improvements.
Transform complex, technical material into clear and concise documentation for target audiences.
Conduct in‑depth interviews with subject‑matter experts to fully understand tasks.
Experience & Skills Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
At least 2 years of experience in knowledge management, information technology, software development, or technical writing.
At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant military experience.
3+ years of experience in an agile delivery environment.
3+ years of experience with Salesforce.

A secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions.
A reliable private wired or wireless internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot.

Internet service must be provided by cable or fiber ISP; hotspots and satellite services are prohibited.
ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5 Mbps (10 Mbps or more preferred).

Both hard‑wire and Wi‑Fi connections are acceptable if speed and security requirements are met.
