Join Hogan Lovells as a Marketing & Business Development Specialist for the Consumer and Sports, Media and Entertainment sectors. Hogan Lovells is a leading global law firm delivering business‑oriented legal advice and high‑quality service worldwide.
Overview Our Marketing & Business Development (M&BD) team supports the firm across business‑development, marketing, and client‑relationship activities. The team is divided into Practice M&BD, Client Development, Sector M&BD, Corporate Communications, and Pitches & Pursuits. This role will interact with regional M&BD teams and support the global M&BD team in coordinating marketing and business‑development plans for the Consumer, Sports, Media, and Entertainment sectors.
Responsibilities
Support implementation of integrated marketing campaigns to raise the firm’s profile among key target audiences and generate opportunities to meet potential clients.
Assist with client seminars, conferences, CLE trainings, webinars, association activities, and other marketing‑oriented events and programs, including:
Logistics and development of invitations and program materials
Day‑of support and follow‑up, including metrics‑driven ROI reporting
Maintain and coordinate updates to marketing collateral (credentials, brochures, website content, attorney biographies, thought leadership, etc.).
Produce, edit, and distribute client alerts and other communications using the firm’s distribution tools.
Manage social media posts and monitor performance and engagement data (LinkedIn, Clearview Social), providing regular updates to M&BD stakeholders.
Promote the firm’s capabilities through internal newsletters and sector intranet sites.
Work with the M&BD Manager to plan internal sector and practice meetings and retreats.
Coordinate legal directory submissions for ranking organisations and publications.
Support pitches by drafting proposals and credentials and ensuring best‑practice methodology is applied.
Keep all standard pitch materials up to date and maintain the pitch tracking tool.
Leverage the firm’s CRM database (InterAction) to track client and prospect engagement and maintain mailing lists.
Deliver market research, client analysis, and internal intelligence for the annual business‑planning process.
Support M&BD and partners in the creation of budgets and tracking progress.
Process invoices for marketing expenses and support the drafting of business cases for sector sponsorship activities.
Liaise with M&BD colleagues to share best practices in new‑business pitches, business generation, thought leadership, and client communications.
Contribute to wider marketing and BD projects as required.
Encourage participation in the firm’s global Responsible Business programme.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Five (5)+ years of relevant experience in a legal or professional services sector (strongly preferred).
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and the ability to write compelling propositions.
Team player able to act autonomously with appropriate guidance.
Strong project‑management skills.
Pragmatic, diplomatic, and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
Strategic thinking, high initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic self‑starter with a can‑do attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Hours The annualised salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and other permissible factors. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and fringe benefits. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with one hour for lunch; additional hours may be required as needed.
