Join the Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) as a Marketing Support Specialist. This paid, part‑time position (20 hrs/week) offers an opportunity to support our marketing and communications efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or relevant experience
A trained eye for professional aesthetics in videography and graphic design
Experience with videography, video equipment, and video editing
Experience with color correction and grading
Understanding of social media trends and video optimization techniques
Ability to adapt to evolving industry technologies and trends
Knowledge of sound design and audio editing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative thinking and a passion for visual storytelling
Strong attention to detail
Marketing & Design Responsibilities
Promote IAR programs through social media, website posts, newsletters, annual reports, and brochures
Ensure a consistent brand identity in all communications to provide a professional and courteous service experience
Develop and implement branding strategies in coordination with IAR leadership
Establish SOPs and propose marketing‑related policies for approval and enforcement by IAR leadership
Manage social media accounts and establish best practices for consistent and engaging communication
Enhance brand image visually to meet objectives and align with organizational style
Oversee the creation of graphics for programs and multimedia in collaboration with vendors
Create a repository of approved images, graphics, typography, and other visual resources
Liaise with the IAR Public Relations Team regarding publishing statements and releases in times of PR crises
Integrate marketing outlets and engagement points into a holistic ecosystem
Collaborate with IT and Administration to maintain the website with brand‑appropriate content and ensure optimal SEO
Collaborate with finance and fundraising teams to integrate marketing strategies for sustainable donations
Support committees with graphic design and copywriting needs
Oversee the building of contact lists and maintain a repository of marketing lists
Respond to informational requests and social media messages in accordance with IAR policy and strategy
Multimedia Content Creation Responsibilities
Edit and assemble raw footage into polished and engaging videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and internal communications
Record quality content using state‑of‑the‑art studio equipment
Record B‑Roll at IAR activities and events for various multimedia uses
Organize and maintain an efficient system for storing and retrieving video files
Generate multimedia that tells the story of IAR’s ongoing and past accomplishments and activities
Work closely with graphic designers, photographers, and other multimedia professionals to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing representation of the brand
Provide input on the visual aspects of multimedia projects to enhance overall quality and consistency
