Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and project success.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet KCI quality standards and client expectations. Implement KCI quality control processes and conduct regular inspections.

Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Position Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on alternative delivery methods for transportation projects.

Significant design experience on alternative delivery or design‑build for transportation projects is required.

Proven track record of successfully managing large‑scale transportation projects from inception to completion.

Strong understanding of Design‑Build, P3, CMGC, PDB, and/or IPD methodologies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.

Experience should include a track record of expanding project management duties.

Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger‑scale projects or programs.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.

Effective problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.

Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Education & Work Experience Preferred

Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required

Successful completion of the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board (for current employees) or ability to complete within six months (for new hires).
