Senior CAD Designer-Microstation
who can bring technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to our growing design team.
The Opportunity: We are seeking a
Senior CAD Designer – Microstation
with
8+ years
of transportation/traffic design experience to oversee CAD production, manage standards, and mentor staff in our
Buford, GA
office. This role leads MicroStation workflows and supports multidisciplinary projects for state and municipal clients.
This site is accessible via public transportation; reliable transportation will be a requirement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage
MicroStation workspaces
and CAD standards.
Oversee plan production for
traffic, lighting, and ITS
projects.
Perform
QA/QC reviews
and coordinate with engineers and PMs.
Mentor junior CAD staff and support training.
Coordinate with
Project Managers
and
Engineers
to deliver high-quality plans on schedule.
Stay current with
GDOT standards
and emerging design technology.
Qualifications:
8+ years of MicroStation CAD experience (transportation focus).
Associate Degree in Drafting or related field (required); Bachelor’s preferred.
Proven ability to lead CAD teams and manage
GDOT-standard
projects.
Skilled in
OpenRoads Designer
and related design tools.
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Conditions of Employment:
Some extended hours/shifts may be required to meet project deadlines.
Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
