Job Description Shopbop is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented professional to join our Studio Operations Team as Studio Operations Lead focusing on shipping and receiving. This is a 100% on‑site position.
Key Job Responsibilities
Inbound and outbound inventory from internal and external sources using Amazon tooling
Inspect and repackage all inventory leaving and returning to the studio
Package, label, and ship products to our NY studio and/or other content creators
Lead all inventory moving in and out of the photo studio, ensuring optimal workflow efficiency
Handle escalated problems involving returning and repackaging products from shoots
Organize supplies and maintain studio operational standards
Physically and systematically move product through workflows while using a pallet jack or carts
Act as the primary contact for warehouse staff in locating inventory in the studio and ensure it is returned to the warehouse in a timely manner
Continuously seek to improve workflow processes while maintaining current service level agreements
Use data to identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements
Create and implement new procedures for shipping and receiving inventory
Analyze productivity metrics and inventory flow data to optimize processes
Develop solutions for recurring operational challenges
Document best practices and standard operating procedures
Train and mentor junior team members on studio operations procedures
Provide guidance and support to junior staff on complex inventory issues
Lead cross‑training initiatives to build team capabilities
Cross train and support miscellaneous projects, and assist other areas as needed
Basic Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management
Proven track record of process improvement and operational excellence
Experience training or mentoring team members
High School diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and ability to learn new computer applications
Ability to work under pressure, handle competing priorities, and adhere to deadlines independently and as a team
A proven track record of earning trust, delivering results, and high bias for action
Experience creating reports and presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders and management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Can carry/lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 9 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
Ability to move supplies and inventory with the use of a pallet jack or carts
Preferred Qualifications
Strong awareness of brands we carry
Previous experience leading a team in a shipping and receiving setting
Previous experience in a photo studio, or other fashion-based operations environment

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $45,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $96,300/year in our highest geographic market.
