This position is based in

Plantation, FL , but our company operates nationally, particularly in large regional malls.

Base pay range : $65,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr

As the

Marketing and Business Development Manager , you will lead the creation and execution of marketing initiatives to drive leasing, sales, and overall business growth for the retail center. You will develop and implement campaigns, analyze market trends, and support business development efforts while collaborating with internal teams, tenants, and external partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will report to the General Manager with a dotted line to the AVP of Marketing and oversee the Marketing Coordinator, guiding campaign execution and business development activities.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the property team to develop and execute research‑based, comprehensive strategic planning that enhances asset value by participating in leasing, driving sales, and generating alternative revenue.

Ensure the annual marketing plan aligns with owner objectives for leasing, sales, and revenue.

Monitor, control, and adjust the marketing budget and revenue goals to meet year‑end projections.

Work with Leasing and Ownership Team to keep leasing collateral current and accurate.

Procure and develop programs involving outside consultants such as PR firms, advertising agencies, and other vendors.

Review monthly sales reports to track key retailers and category trends.

Manage the Marketing Coordinator, set measurable goals, and provide coaching and career development.

Execute advertising programs and strategies to increase foot traffic, tenant sales, and community participation.

Coordinate special events and community relations programs and produce impact summaries.

Develop public relations and media plans; coordinate ongoing research to support marketing and leasing.

Oversee promotion planning, media buys, and analytics for sales promotion programs.

Maintain relationships with tenants, community groups, and store managers to maximize foot traffic and sales.

Serve as local center spokesperson and manage all public relations, media, and communications.

Direct all signage, visual displays, and seasonal décor installations in collaboration with maintenance and engineering.

Lead the strategic vision and design of the center’s website and manage digital marketing activities.

Generate and manage business development revenue, including advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, with 3–5 years of professional experience in marketing or retail/shopping center environments.

Solid knowledge of marketing fundamentals, research, reporting, and social media management.

Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and design tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop; ability to quickly learn new systems.

Excellent organizational, time‑management, multitasking, and delegation skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
