Growth Marketing Compliance Manager – 1 Year Contract

Description The Growth Marketing team drives subscriber growth for a global streaming business. The Operations & Tech focus on building scalable performance marketing with consistent excellence. This role ensures legal‑compliant, data‑sound partnerships and practices while safeguarding brand integrity. It collaborates with legal, privacy, and data governance teams to develop compliance guidelines, manage contracts, and implement data governance policies.
Responsibilities
Develop global compliance and brand safety guidelines for performance marketing data
Negotiate, review, and manage data terms and contracts in partnership with legal and privacy teams
Document and maintain guidelines for ad platforms and data partnerships
Create briefs for legal and privacy approval that outline proposed data use cases and strategic marketing strategies, tying back to business outcomes
Ensure compliance with regulations for all global campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and external media agencies
Keep documentation up to date in response to evolving privacy regulations
Participate in internal meetings to keep compliance and data governance current; partner with global teams to update processes and policies
Update market‑specific supplemental privacy policies with privacy teams to cover new partners or processes
Share knowledge regarding compliance and data sharing initiatives with internal departments and cross‑team units
Support internal teams with adjunct projects such as AI/ML use‑case proposals and proof‑of‑concepts for new capabilities
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in legal, data governance, marketing compliance or related industry experience such as telecommunications or media & entertainment
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Philosophy, Law, Government, Politics, Marketing, or Business
Understanding of the identity landscape – personal identifiable information, aggregated/anonymized data, and privacy‑enhancing technologies such as dark data clean rooms and CDPs/DMPs
Knowledge of the ad‑tech ecosystem: ad serving, tracking, measurement, and implementation
Experience with digital data collection and privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA
Clear understanding of privacy‑enhancing technology (e.g., OneTrust)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse environment
Clear, effective written and oral communication skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels, with strong organizational, prioritization, and collaboration skills
Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, strong project‑management skills
Solid work experience with consumer protection laws
