Director of Creative Strategy
with experience in creative concepting, media strategy, and presentation development. We’re looking for a natural-born storyteller to collaborate with our brand partnerships team, crafting strategic, high-impact proposals that drive advertising revenue across our multi-platform media flywheel.
The ideal candidate has a passion for sports, a strong creative point of view, and the executive presence to confidently pitch ideas and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
The Creative Strategy team powers the ideation and development of custom partnership proposals and strategically packages offerings across our ecosystem, including newsletters, website, social media, original content, shows, and events, into compelling recommendations for brands across all verticals.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Marketing & Strategy. Candidates must be able to work from the NYC office at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of strategic recommendations in response to RFPs and sales requests, providing thoughtful, creative solutions that align with client goals and drive business.
Represent the FOS voice in agency and brand calls; passionately pitch ideas to clients to win business.
Thoroughly analyze and challenge brand briefs to extract key insights, learnings, priority tactics, and/or solutions that inform our strategy.
Manage and mentor a team of strategists, assigning tasks and supporting workflows to effectively meet tight deadlines.
Problem-solve in real time during client calls or briefings, acting as a strategic partner and creative storyteller to complement the sales team.
Lead external and internal brainstorms and strategy sessions confidently, without requiring guidance from Marketing & Strategy leadership.
Independently generate concepts and ideas beyond team brainstorming sessions.
Develop new products and placements, as well as innovative ways to leverage existing offerings.
Present, defend, and promote ideas effectively to senior leadership.
Understand the media planning process, including digital and content-heavy plans, and provide strategic recommendations to the Account Management team.

6-8+ years of experience in a creative, strategic, program development, or partnerships role.
Experience leading the development of proposals and marketing materials for brands.
Passion for the intersection of sports, business, and culture, with the ability to turn insights and trends into executable ideas.
Channel-agnostic creative who enjoys ideating and crafting concepts across social, digital, content, experiential, and more.
Strategic instincts; ability to digest a brief and develop a strategic framework rooted in data and key insights.
Skilled at multitasking with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Natural creative, writing, and storytelling skills with a strong executive presence.
Visual storytelling with deep expertise in Keynote.
Comfortable working with data and insights, using numbers conceptually to tell a compelling story and inform strategic recommendations.
Staying on top of social trends and following key storylines within sports, culture, and media.
Execute with little oversight, building strong working relationships with internal and cross-functional teams, and with brands, agencies, platforms, and partners.
Perks & Benefits
Generous PTO policy plus sick time and company holidays.

Annual professional development stipend and endless development opportunities at a growing startup.
401(k) plan with 3% company match.
Dynamic environment with endless development opportunities.
