We’re expanding our marketing team and looking for a Social Content Manager to lead the next phase of our storytelling across the mBIOTA Labs umbrella – managing content and social strategy for multiple brands and audiences.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a creative, strategic, and production‑savvy content leader to take full ownership of our social presence and content pipeline.
This role blends hands‑on creative production, platform management, and strategic storytelling. You’ll be responsible for creating, curating, and editing original photo and video content that feels modern, credible, and human – while ensuring that all content aligns with our refreshed brand voice and aesthetic.
You’ll manage multiple brand channels, oversee day‑to‑day posting and engagement, and collaborate cross‑functionally to make sure all content – from educational posts to community responses – reflects accurate, medically sound information.
This is a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role for someone who can move quickly, pivot easily, and bring creative clarity to a growing brand ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
- Capture, edit, and produce high‑quality content – photo, video, and motion – for multiple brands under the mBIOTA Labs umbrella.
- Independently shoot and edit content using Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Canva or mobile tools like CapCut.
- Curate and plan cohesive social feeds that reflect each brand’s tone – clinical for practitioners, lifestyle‑forward for consumers.
- Partner with the Art Director to align on visual direction, creative concepting, and graphic design needs.
- Plan and coordinate content shoots and collaboration opportunities across brands, ensuring creative alignment, proper resourcing, and on‑brand execution.
- Maintain organized content libraries and manage tagging across brands for easy access and reuse.
- Manage and execute content across all major social channels – Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and Facebook – for multiple mBIOTA sub‑brands and founder accounts.
- Develop and maintain distinct content strategies and voices per audience while ensuring overarching brand alignment.
- Build and manage the social content calendar across the mBIOTA Labs portfolio, ensuring consistency and momentum.
- Track engagement metrics and performance data to refine strategy and guide creative optimization.
Community Engagement & Customer Coordination
- Monitor and respond to comments, questions, and DMs across all brand channels promptly and in brand voice.
- Coordinate with the Customer Support team to ensure replies are accurate, compliant, and medically sound.
- Identify trends, FAQs, and community insights that inform future content and storytelling opportunities.
Brand Collaborations, Contests & Giveaways
- Identify and manage cross‑brand collaborations, contests, and giveaways that expand community engagement.
- Partner with the Brand Marketing Manager to execute collaborative campaigns that align with our aesthetic and mission.
- Ensure all activations adhere to brand, legal, and medical standards.
Influencer & Partnership Support
- Collaborate with the Brand Marketing Manager on influencer campaigns and product seeding initiatives.
- Manage influencer content tracking, approvals, and creative repurposing for brand use.
- Source creators and tastemakers who align with the aesthetic and voice of each brand within the mBIOTA Labs portfolio.
Activations & On‑Site Coverage
- Attend and document brand events, trade shows, and activations – capturing content in real time for immediate posting.
- Travel as needed (approx. 10–15%) for shoots, activations, and campaign coverage.
- Manage quick‑turn deadlines while maintaining brand quality and creative integrity.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital storytelling for consumer brands (beauty, wellness, lifestyle preferred).
- Strong photography and videography skills – confident producing and editing social‑first content independently.
- Proven ability to manage content across multiple brands or sub‑brands with distinct voices and audiences.
- Strong grasp of tone and copywriting – can pivot between educational, clinical messaging and approachable, lifestyle storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom) or mobile editing tools like Canvas and Capcut.
- Experience managing social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and Facebook.
- Manage project workflows, timelines, and deliverables in Asana, ensuring visibility and alignment across teams.
- Highly organized with strong communication and reporting skills.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working cross‑functionally in a start‑up environment.
- Commutable proximity to main office in Santa Monica, CA for regular content creation shoots.
- Willingness to travel and manage tight turnarounds when needed.

- Annual Salary: $75,000 – $95,000, depending on experience and fit
