Location: King of Prussia
Position: Music Therapist / MT, Hospice
Remote/Virtual Position: No
Coverage Area: Philadelphia, Eastern Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware counties
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 / annually
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm plus holiday/back‑up on call rotation

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy and/or Music Therapy from an American Music Therapy Association approved university (or undergraduate equivalency program approved by AMTA).
- Board Certified as Music Therapist (MT‑BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT).
- Previous experience with terminally ill patients/families is highly desirable.
- Must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
- Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
Responsibilities
- Complete the music therapy assessment with patient and family when referred in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Plan music therapy interventions.
- Guide the patient in the use of creative therapeutic activities for the purpose of improving or maintaining mental and physical function and quality of life.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy services with the patient and/or family‑of‑choice.
- Provide in‑services to staff, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities as requested and determined appropriate by therapist.
- Act as one of the counselors in the interdisciplinary group (IDG), serving at IDG meetings, participating in on‑call rotation, and assisting with sign‑ups and consents for newly referred patients.
- Support the bereavement program at the site level.
