INNOVIT USA INC – Technical Writer

Hiring: W2 Candidates Only

Visa: Open to any visa type with valid work authorization in the USA

Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for Information Technology Teams. Understands the user’s view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.

Provides expertise on technical concepts of applications and user groups. Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and manuals for a wide range of uses. May coordinate the display of graphics and production of documents.

Performs highly advanced senior‑level technical writing work, coordinating composition, organization, and editing of compiled information. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude. Independently prepares and refines material for speeches and public presentations.

Aids IT in documenting the environment, policies, procedures, and plans of the IT Division. Conducts detailed analysis and extensive research on data, provides results, monitors and implements data quality. Develops and implements customer‑centric metrics and reporting. Supports performance, quality, and improvement efforts to streamline processes through data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and edit technical documents, policy manuals, procedural documents, operational guidelines, materials, and reports.
  • Consult with technical staff in developing documentation, policy, and procedural material.
  • Prepare responses to correspondence, reports, surveys, questionnaires, and other requests for information.
  • Present policy and procedure updates, reports, options and feedback to upper management and C‑Level stakeholders.
  • Research, develop, and disseminate information on techniques for organizing and presenting policy, procedure and technical information.
  • Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of documents.
  • Analyze data, pose thoughtful questions, obtain feedback from stakeholders, and use data to support staff, programs, and operations.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in composing, reviewing, and editing technical documents, policy manuals, procedural documents, operational guidelines, materials, and reports. (Required – 8 years)
  • Previous experience researching, developing, and disseminating information on techniques for organizing and presenting policy, procedure and technical information. (Required – 8 years)
  • Ability to consult with technical staff in the development of documentation, policy and procedural material. (Required – 8 years)
  • Previous experience preparing responses to correspondence, reports, surveys, questionnaires, and other requests for information. (Required – 6 years)
  • Experience creating and presenting policy and procedure updates, reports, options and feedback to upper management and C‑Level stakeholders. (Required – 6 years)
  • Previous technology writing experience in the public sector. (Preferred – 5 years)
  • Knowledge of IT policies and procedures. (Preferred – 5 years)
