Admission Director , you will be the face of our facility—building relationships, cultivating trust, and ensuring every referral is handled with urgency, accuracy, and heart. Your leadership will guide our admission strategy and refine the resident experience from first contact through move-in.
Key Responsibilities
Leads the full admission process with excellence, consistency, and accountability.
Builds and maintains strong partnerships with hospitals, case managers, physicians, and community referral sources.
Manages referral pipelines, conducts onsite/virtual clinical reviews, and ensures timely responses to all inquiries.
Collaborates with nursing, rehab, business office, and leadership teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate communication.
Drives census development strategy while maintaining compliance and ethical standards.
Trains, mentors, and coaches admissions staff to deliver high-quality customer service and consistent conversion performance.
Analyzes data trends to guide decision-making and identify new growth opportunities.
Represents Alaska Gardens with professionalism, positivity, and a service‑first mindset.
Education/Requirements A standout Admission Director is someone who thrives in relationship‑driven roles and can match urgency with empathy. The ideal candidate is:
Experienced:
3+ years in SNF/rehab admissions or healthcare business development with strong knowledge of various payers (Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid).
Confident & polished:
Excels at communication, presentations, and customer service.
Operationally strong:
Understands the clinical, financial, and regulatory components of skilled nursing admissions.
Tech‑savvy:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, PointClickCare (PCC), insurance portals (NaviHealth, Availity, UHC, etc.), and hospital referral portals (AIDA, CarePort, WellSky, EPIC).
Team‑focused:
Collaborates across departments, builds trust, and elevates organizational culture.
Metrics‑minded:
Comfortable with data, conversions, CRM tools, and performance goals.
Self‑driven:
Able to prioritize, manage competing demands, and maintain calm and professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
